Iconic Wichita Clown Recovered From Sex Offender'sHome

Damian Mayes, 39 years of age lived in Wichita, Kansas his whole life. He worked at Joyland Amusement Park, and used to build and repair organs at the park, is serving prison for child sex crimes. In 2004 the Joyland Amusement Park shut down, and two years later an iconic mechanical clown that was used as a prop for more then 50 years at the park went missing. The clown, 50 years old and is now worth 10,000 dollars, was found through a phone tip that the Wichita police got that brought them back to the house of Damian Mayes. The police searched the house and found it in plain sight in the home of Damian Mayes. They were surprised because they didn't realize it was there when they first arrested Damian for the child sex crimes. Det. Matt Lang said " "There's many articles that said once Louie disappeared, he would never see the sight of day again."
